What is thermal paper? What is the principle of thermal paper?

In life, there are not many things to touch. It is a paper type placed on label printers and ticket printers. There is a chemical substance on this paper type, which turns black when exposed to heat. This is thermosensitive printing paper.

What is the basic principle of thermal printing paper

Thermal printing paper, also known as thermal printing paper and thermal resistor fax paper, is used for label printers and thermal printers. Its quality can affect printing performance and storage time, and even affect the lifespan of the printing machine and printer.

With the development trend of office work, in large-scale activities such as economic development, medical treatment, aviation, and public relations departments dealing with car accidents and various malignant events, the use of label printers is increasing. Thermal printing paper has already become a widely used technical paper, commonly seen in fax documents and thermal printing paper.

Thermal printing paper is a unique type of coated paper, which has a similar appearance to ordinary white paper. The surface of thermal printing paper is very smooth. It is made of ordinary paper as a paper base. Apply a hot hair color layer on top. The hair color layer is composed of adhesive, hair color groups, and non tone dyes (or non tone dyes), without the need for microcapsule extraction. The chemical change is in an "ambush" situation. When thermal printing paper encounters a heated printer nozzle, the hair color agent and non tone dye on the printing head cause a chemical reaction, changing the color, causing images and symbols.

When the thermal printing paper is placed in an environment above 70 ℃, the coating of the thermal resistor begins to fade. The reason for its fading also starts from its composition.

There are mainly two types of thermistor components in the coating of thermal printing paper: one is the absence of color dye or dark dye; Another type is a chromogenic agent. This type of thermosensitive printing paper is also known as a popular recording paper for bimorphic differentiation. Special printing paper for office use is classified according to the size and number of layers of paper, such as 241-1241-2, which represent narrow row printing paper with 1 and 2 layers, and of course, there are also 3 and 4 layers; There are also commonly used wide line printing papers such as 381-1381-2. For example, 241-2 refers to carbon free printing paper (also known as pressure sensitive paper). Can only be printed on needle printers. 241 represents 9.5 inches, which is the width of the paper. This type of paper is also known as 80 column printing paper, which means a normal font with 80 characters per line. The main uses of these papers are: outbound/inbound receipts, reports, and receipts. Suitable for: banks, hospitals, etc.

Carbon free printing paper, also known as pressure sensitive printing paper, consists of upper paper (CB), middle paper (CFB), and lower paper (CF). It utilizes the principle of chemical reaction between the microcapsule chromogenic agent and the acidic clay in the chromogenic agent layer. During printing, the printing needle is applied to the paper surface to achieve the chromogenic effect. The common and commonly used color rendering layers are 2 to 6.

When purchasing carbon free printing paper, attention should be paid to observing whether the outer packaging of the paper is damaged (if the outer packaging is damaged or deformed, it may cause the paper inside to color). B: Open the outer packaging and check if the inner packaging has a certificate of conformity, whether the paper is damp, wrinkled, and whether the color can meet the requirements you want (usually tear off a copy and write a few words on it in the normal way, and then check the color level of the last layer) C: Confirm that the specifications of the printed paper are what you need to avoid unnecessary waste and trouble.

The commonly used specifications for carbon free printing paper are 80 or 132 columns, as well as special specifications (width, length, horizontal and vertical parts, etc.). The most commonly used column is 80, with a size of 9.5 inches by 11 inches (with holes on both sides, 22 holes on each side, and a spacing of 0.5 inches between each two holes), which is approximately 241 millimeters by 279 millimeters. eighty

Paper columns are usually divided into three sizes:

1: Full page (9.5 inches by 11 inches).

2: Half way (9.5 inches by 11/2 inches).

3: One-third (9.5 inches by 11/3 inches).

After opening the box, attention should be paid. If it is not used for a long time, it should be placed in the original packaging plastic bag to prevent moisture and damage. If it is a carbon free copy type printing paper, attention should be paid not to be subjected to sharp objects or external pressure to avoid color rendering and affecting use. Before using the product, the gear of the printer should be confirmed first. When printing multiple layers, high-speed printing should be avoided as much as possible to ensure the clarity of the printed handwriting. When saving documents, it should be noted that each copy should be kept separately. If it is necessary to store them together, squeezing should be avoided. It should be protected from light, water, oil, acid, and alkali. As long as the carbon free printing paper is stored in an appropriate environment, the carbon free handwriting can be preserved for at least 15 years. If there is a paper jam during the printing process, check whether the position of the printing paper is appropriate, whether it is aligned with the paper drawer, and whether the printing head has selected a position suitable for the number of paper layers.

Ticket printers or flat push printers are most suitable for using multi link carbon free printing paper products. These printers are designed so that the printing paper does not bend inside the machine, the printing paper is flat, and the printing force is also high.

How to solve the problem of non color or unclear color development of carbonless paper (excluding quality issues with the original paper)?

The lack of color may be caused by the printing paper being loaded backwards. Simply reload the paper.

The reason for unclear color rendering may be due to insufficient pressure on the printer or the phenomenon of broken needles in the printed hair. It is recommended to increase the printing force and check for any broken needles.

Color rendering is a chemical process that is greatly affected by environmental temperature, especially in winter when the temperature is low. The activity of chemical reactions is slow, and clear handwriting cannot be seen immediately after printing. This is a normal phenomenon.
